SCOPE OF POSITION: Under the supervision of the Divisional Property Director, the Project Coordinator interfaces with The Salvation Army Corps Officers, Cascade Division departments, and selected departments at The Salvation Army Territorial Headquarters as necessary to maintain document control, correspondence files, and to track planned action items for designated projects. The Project Coordinator assists in the process to purchase, sell, and lease property; maintain files for renovation, remodel, or construction of Cascade property; verify the completeness of hazardous material project notifications.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:



  • Required - High school graduate/GED.


Preferred -Associated Degree with coursework in business or office management and accounting. Project management coursework a plus



  • Required- 3-5 years administrative


Preferred - Project management or database management experience. Experience with property management and/or real estate transactions a plus.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Review document submittal for small property projects, leases, and rental or use agreements, for
  • Review hazardous materials survey and advise Corps Officer on required abatement or remediation.
  • Coordinate hazardous materials survey and clearance testing
  • Coordinate document review by Territorial Risk Management Department.
  • Coordinate document review by Territorial Legal Department.
  • Create TSAMM/G&C proposals for Divisional Headquarters DHQ related Projects.
  • Prepare CFC agenda items, forward approved and recommended items to appropriate
  • Work with the legal and Risk Management Departments in the processing of requests for Certificate of Liability insurance
  • Prepare project check requests and update project
  • Issue and manage DHQ employee key cards and maintain log.
  • Coordinate with Insurance Administrators and Corps on claims and Incident
  • Provide back-up coordination to ensure DHQ facility and DHQ Officers' quarters are maintained.
  • Manage day-to-day tasks and activities of department administrative assistant.
  • Travel to conduct site checks and attend OAC meetings for project updates. The duration of travel will include day and overnight trips. Travel will involve diving a motor vehicle provided by the company or by air. Driving can be long distances in all kinds of light and weather conditions. Travel requirements comprise 15% to 20% of work activities.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT:



  • Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.
  • Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, and reach
  • Ability to operate telephone.
  • Ability to operate a desktop or laptop

  • Drive a motor vehicle for long distances in all types of weather and visual conditions.
