Job Description

Wax Mold Inspector - 1st shift

Title: Mold Inspector

Status: Hourly

Shift: 1st

Reports To: Reports to Wax Process Engineer

Location: Mentor

Responsibility: Perform wax assembler duties for developmental as well as production molds and inspect molds to insure conformity to SOP's and EP's.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year experience as an operator in a manufacturing environment. Previous casting experience is a plus.

  • Must have experience with misc. hand tools, tables, racks, boxes, safety guidelines, feeds, grinders, inspection tools, etc.

Skills:

  • Able to meet deadlines and be accountable for quality/ quantity.
  • Able to work flexible hours with a history of dependability & strong attendance.
  • Comfortable using a team approach to problem solving.
  • Individual must be a motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that gets along with customers, clients, co-workers and supervisors.

Specific Duties:

  • Visually inspect mold after assembly complete.

  • Insure that mold conforms to SOP and EP criteria.

  • Repair defects identified in mold or return to assembler to repair as determined by supervisor.

  • Provide feedback to Assembler and Assembly Trainer.

  • Perform other duties as designated by the supervisor.
  • Record all work performed and check routing card for accuracy.

  • Meet an acceptable level of performance and show proficient understanding of Engineering and Quality instructions.

  • Keeps work area clean, orderly, and in safe condition, following all safety rules.

  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that gets along with customers, clients, co-workers and supervisors.

  • Must be willing to be trained as Wax Assembler.

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule as needed.

  • Any and all additional responsibilities as required or assigned.
