Department Overview

The Banking and Money Management group within Treasury executes financing transactions in support of PG&E's capital and liquidity requirements; assists the Assistant Treasurer and Treasurer in managing the company's relationships with the financial community (banks, credit rating agencies, etc.); and maintains sufficient liquidity through effective cash management practices.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Manager of Banking and Money Management, the Treasury Analyst will provide analytic and transaction support to the Banking and Money Management department. Typical projects may include spreadsheet modeling of the cost-effectiveness of various financing alternatives, analyzing new capital markets products, preparing presentations to senior management and credit rating agencies, assisting with financial transactions, maintain debt compliance, administration, and reporting, and providing ad-hoc analysis.

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and Oakland, CA approximately once per week or more, depending on business need.

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E's discretionary incentive compensation programs.Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.

A reasonable salary range is:

Bay Area Minimum: $73,000.00
Bay Area Maximum: $109,000.00

Responsibilities

  • Prepare management reporting related to and administration of PG&E's financing obligations
  • Prepare quarterly debt and equity reports and disclosures for the CPUC, FERC and the Securities Exchange Commission ("SEC")
  • Assist in regulatory reporting and related financial proceedings with the California Public Utilities Commission ("CPUC")
  • Assist with administration of credit facilities
  • Support daily treasury operations including bank account management, user access, and servicing of securitization bonds
  • Support team in executing equity and bond transactions
  • Analyze financing opportunities using sound analysis to drive optimal decisions to minimize financing costs and enable smooth liquidity management
  • Participate in meetings with banks and financial market experts to learn and incorporate market insights into team decisions
  • Manage debt portfolio including ensuring timely payments and maintaining compliance with financial agreements
  • Provide support in managing and maintaining relationships with credit rating agencies, lenders, and other key stakeholders
  • Assist in streamlining processes and procedures across the organization, including identifying opportunities through new technologies and/or financial products
  • Perform quarterly Sarbanes Oxley compliance testing for multiple departments within Treasury
  • Special projects as assigned by Manager and/or Assistant Treasurer

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business-related discipline; or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of two years of accounting, financial, treasury or business-related experience
