Function:

Job Summary:

The Clean Energy Analyst must be proficient in quantitative analysis and will support strategic planning and business development activities related to CF Industries' clean energy initiatives. This individual should be comfortable working in a space of undefined concepts. The Clean Energy Solutions Analyst will report to the Director, Clean Energy Solutions. The work produced by this role will have a high level of exposure to senior management and throughout the Company and will include significant cross-functional interaction. Multiple levels of experience will be considered.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare presentations and summaries of findings on various clean energy, decarbonization, regulatory, and other relevant topics of interest to CF Industries Clean Energy initiatives

    • Data sources will include various consulting firms, third party companies, and other organizations as well as journal articles and publications

    • May include technical research on various low-carbon production processes, decarbonization methods, or agricultural practices

  • Conduct research and analysis to make data-driven recommendations

  • Develop summary documentation to support communication internally and externally including the annual strategic planning process

  • Participate in clean energy-related meetings and maintains database of key external contacts, meeting notes, documents, and action items

  • Prepare draft documents (MOU's, NDA's, etc.) for compliance with discussed business concepts

  • Support and/or lead projects involving internal and external resources

  • Analyze trends and track key developments of industry peers, key demand sectors, and government policy developments

  • Develop new ad-hoc models/spreadsheets as required

Successful incumbents will have:

  • Bachelor's Degree (engineering/technical background or economics preferred)

  • Minimum 3 years experience in an analytical role

  • Excellent interpersonal, organization, planning, and time management skills

  • Strong analytical background

  • Self-starter and takes initiative

  • Interest and ability to develop new business opportunities as they pertain to CF

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities at a high level of performance

  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)

  • Strong computer skills, proficient in MS Office Suite

  • Proven ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with internal and external constituents

Sr. Analyst title will be considered for the appropriate level of experience

Position Scope/Contribution:

CF Industries' strategy is to leverage the Company's unique capabilities to accelerate the world's transition to clean energy. The Clean Energy Solutions department is focused on efforts to decarbonize the Company's production network, scale the Company's ability to produce low-carbon and zero-carbon ammonia, and position CF Industries at the forefront of clean hydrogen and ammonia supply and demand development. The development of these new markets requires building relationships with potential partners in the marine, energy industries, and technology industries. As well as providing support to influence policy and infrastructure development worldwide and establish CF Industries as a premier supplier of competitive low-carbon energy products. This position will allow the incumbent to develop an understanding of industries and markets CF has not been historically involved in. Strong engineering and/or analytical capabilities will be needed to guide management decision-making to implement the Company's strategy. The ability to thrive in a continuously evolving and uncertain environment will be important to success in this position.
